Nothing is Absolute.
This project is a design experiment exploring the boundary between "good" and "bad" typography layout, using a profound quote by Frida Kahlo: “Nothing is absolute. Everything changes, everything moves, everything revolves, everything flies and goes away.”
Effective
The poster on the right employs an intentional, irregular layout paired with generous negative space, evoking a sense of calm—like a quiet sigh from Frida Kahlo herself. Every typographic element is meticulously placed to guide the viewer’s eye in a deliberate, poetic sequence, allowing the core message to resonate deeply.
Ineffective
In contrast, the poster on the left intentionally disrupts the visual hierarchy. By utilizing rigid, regular repetition, it creates a hypnotic visual distortion—a hallucination of text. This chaotic structure purposefully scatters the viewer's focus, making it challenging to grasp the core message and highlighting how over-structuring can break communication.
